Lunch at The Dam House
Friday 3^rd April, 12:00 – 2pm
After eight memorable years in Sheffield it’s time for us to return to the land of endless summer. To mark the occasion we’ll be having a farewell lunch at the Dam House this Friday from 12:00. Please write your name on the whiteboard in the lab if you can make it (I will book on Thurs).
The Dam House is located in Crookes Valley Park, roughly between the Weston Park Museum and S10 Sports Center (see http://www.dam-house.co.uk/ for directions).
Hi everyone, I have a small houseload of furniture that urgently needs moving from storage in London this weekend and wondered if anyone possibly had any ideas of cheap storage? Alternatively, if anyone has a spare room or a garage they wouldn’t mind renting out for a
month or so, that would be fantastic! We’ll have a van so can travel to anywhere 🙂 Many thanks! Anna (email@example.com) 🙂
Hi everyone, I am raising money for a number of charities for RAG. I work for Alton Towers part time and they have been kind enough to donate 4 tickets to sell for the charites. So if you fancy visiting the theme park this year please buy these tickets as oposed to buying from Alton Towers. This year tickets are £36 per adult, so if anyone wants these tickets for £30 each or nearest offer please get in touch. Its all for a good cause and its sooo much fun! The theme park opens tomorrow and these tickets are valid until it closes in November. Have a great weekend, Stacy :-)
I think it would be a good idea to go for a birthday curry next Monday (30th). To get an idea of numbers, please write your name on the white board in the lab following the normal protocol. We aim to go to Rajput in Commonside, following some AMAZING recent reviews. Hope to see you there.
Hi, a friend of mine, Penny Jones, needs some male scientists, and I thought some of you MAY fall into this category 🙂
I am an MA Contemporary Art student at Sheffield Hallam and am seeking a few male scientists to interview – preferably either under 50 or over 60 ( I have already covered the fifties). The research is to make a comparison to female artists I have already interviewed. The interview takes about 15 minutes and is about gender issues. I want to video it as I put clips together to make a short film, with permission.
