Landmark Futures is a new scheme to offer ten free stays each year in Landmark Trust buildings to institutions in higher education and other qualifying organisations.
The Landmark Trust is a building preservation charity that rescues and restores historic buildings and then lets them for self-catering holidays to pay for maintenance. They care for some 200 buildings across Britain, sleeping up to 16 people.
These stays will be for small groups of up to 8-10 people for academic purposes: study, discussion, teaching, field study, writing, etc.
Landmark provides the accommodation, including the cost of housekeeping and services; stayers will be responsible for all travel and food costs.
All disciplines are welcome – Astrophysicists to creative writers
Apply by midnight on Sunday 5th November
Julia Schroeder from Imperial (previously from Terry’ group) used them last year. See her feedback.
