Sheffield Bioblitz wildlife event, invite to showcase our research – 10th August

Is anyone interested in being involved in the first Sheffield Bioblitz ?

We have been invited and offered a gazebo and stall to share our knowledge of UK wildlife and show what we do in the lab to support wildlife studies and conservation.

Its for adults and experts as well as kids.
If you have any ideas or want to be involved – please contact Debs by Wednesday 19th.

The event will be at Sheffield’s Wardsend Cemetery on Thursday 10th August, 12am-3pm. The Don Discovery Bioblitz will celebrate the recovery of Sheffield’s rivers and the wildlife found in and around them. The day will involve free nature activities to engage the general public, such as a bird walk, invertebrate river dipping and more. So far we have Museums Sheffield involved (running a bat walk), the friends of the Blue Loop and the friends of Wardsend.
