The Department of Animal & Plant Sciences seeks to recruit a Research Technician to work with Professor Roger Butlin to
advance an NERC-funded project on the genetic basis of adaptation and reproductive isolation, using a rocky-shore snail
species as a model. Field study sites are in Sweden and you will be expected to spend one or more extended periods on site,
assisting with collection and processing of samples. Experience with standard molecular ecology methods is required as you
will be responsible for DNA extraction and preparation of libraries for high-throughput sequencing. You will also be expected
to assist with data management and analysis, working closely with a Postdoctoral Fellow also employed on the project.
