**Message from Kay Lucek, postdoc in the group of Patrik Nosil, starting in February 2015**
I am a male postdoctoral researcher looking for a cheap room in Sheffield from February until May 2015. As I will visit my family, I will be away most weekends. I have modest requirements and mainly need a place to sleep, ideally in cycling distance to the University Campus and the train station. Please contact me under firstname.lastname@example.org
A few of us are going to these sessions..wanna come along? See below 🙂 Cheers, Andy.
By popular demand the local carol workshops will be held again this year for University staff and friends – a chance to sing some well known, and less well-known, Christmas carols many originating from the villages to the north of Sheffield. There will be two sessions this year:
Friday 12 December
Friday 19 December
from 12.30 to 1.50 pm
(come and go as you please – no need to book)
The venue is St Andrew’s URC Church on Hanover Way (the church with the spire on the ring road near University tram stop).
If you have a copy of “The Blue Book” – “The Joy of Christmas” please bring this with you, otherwise the carols will be available on the day.
You are welcome to bring friends – the more the merrier – and we will be joined by members of Broomhall Community Choir and Worrall Male Voice Choir.
The workshop will be led by Nigel Russell and Stephen Vickers.
We look forward to seeing you!
