I’ve recently become the local rep for The Genetics Society (
If you are not yet a member it is well worth joining. PhD students and young postdocs are eligible for fieldwork grants, travel costs to meetings and conferences, prizes and training grants. Annual membership is £5 for undergrads and £15 for postgrads. You also get a very good newsletter.

Technician job in Mol Ecol lab
